Hi, i had two white skirted tetras but one recently died. Now i added three cherry barbs to my 2 gallon tank.?

They seem to be getting along fine but the Tetra might have developed some form of tail rot...the bottom fin is ragged and dragging. what should i do? Also how should i care for the whole gang in my fairly small tank?
