HELP FAST PLEASE! Something in my van keeps running.?

I just got home and shut the engine off in my 1995 Plymouth Voyager van. The engine is shut off, but something is continuing to run. It sounds like a fan of some sort. What should I do? I know almost nothing about automotive mechanics.
