Why isn't Felix Hernandez in the AL Cy Young conversation?

Because his team sucks and the voters for the Cy Young award pick people whose team is actually doing well and in the playoffs or has a shot at the playoffs. In my opinion Jered Weaver would be the better candidate for the CY Young award.
