What is the significance symbolism of the book Julius Caesar?

I'm doing this summer homework about Julius Caesar(play). But I'm not sure what the significance symbolism is nor the point of view. what is the significance symbolism and the point of view of the book Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare??? thnx so much and do u guys know who really is the protagonist and the antagonist? there are some debates around but I'm not too sure who is who.
