How can you love somebody who is a murderer?

My spouse just came back from iraq due to health complications but told me that he killed some irans over there. I was horrified to now i dont know if i can suppost the trops because i feel that my husband is a murderer. I can understand if someone was defending themselves but this wasn't the case. Saddens me that i have to live with the fact i am married to a murderer.
