Have any of you women (21+) gone out to a bar by yourself?

I'm considering going to a bar by myself but I'm a little weary. I just want to sit, have a drink and maybe meet some new people, I'm NOT going out to get laid. So if you have some POSITIVE stories about a time you went out alone then please share.
